Latisse® is the only FDA approved ophthalmic treatment for hypotrichosis or inadequate eyelashes and was discovered when patients being treated with another drug for ocular hypertension reported that their eyelashes had grown.

How does it work?

It's believed that Latisse® works by affecting the growth cycle of your eyelashes by increasing the initial growth phase and increasing the number of individual lashes.

How do I apply it?

You should apply Latisse® at the base on your upper eyelash, where the eyelashes meet the skin. Use the special applicator and make sure you wipe off any solution that comes in contact with your skin because unintentional hair growth may occur.

When will I see results?

You should expect to see results in approximately four weeks, though individual results do vary considerably.

How long do I need to use it?

You'll need to use Latisse® for 16 weeks to ensure proper growth. Once you have used Latisse® for the recommended time, you will need to be re-evaluated.

Are there any side effects?

Aside from unanticipated hair growth on areas where Latisse® may have inadvertently dripped (and this happens only if this is a common occurrence), some patients may experience itching and redness around their eyes.

Some patients also exhibit darkening of the eye lids (which may be reversible) and darkening of the iris, which is permanent.
