Radiesse is an FDA approved non-antigenic dermal filler that not only restores youthful fullness and plumps up facial wrinkles, but also helps stimulate your body's own collagen production.

Where do I use Radiesse?

Radiesse is recommended for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, adding volume and lift. I use Radiesse on nasolabial folds, those lines that run from your nose to the corner of the lip and marionette lines, those deep lines that begin at the corner of your mouth and extend down to your chin. These are the lines that add decades to your face but can be easily softened and filled with Radiesse, restoring that youthful, well rested look.

Why is Radiesse Better?

My patients see immediate results because unlike Botox, which can take several days to take effect, Radiesse adds volume and lift, smoothing out folds in a matter of minutes. Patients will continue to see additional improvement within a few days.

It also stimulates production of collagen, a protein that is responsible for youthful and firm skin. As we age, our bodies produce less collagen, our skin loses elasticity, and that's when our faces begin to age. Radiesse promotes new collagen formation so while it immediately plumps out lines and wrinkles, it's working deep inside, serving as matrix or template for new growth.

Does it hurt?

Most of my patients tolerate the injections well, but because everyone's pain threshold is different, we can apply a topical anesthetic. For those patients who would prefer more relief, Radiesse is the only FDA approved injectable that can be mixed with lidocaine before treatment.

How long is the recovery?

Most patients resume normal activities as soon as they leave the office but we advise that you stay out of the sun, which you should be doing anyway! Some patients experience mild pain, swelling and bruising, which will subside within 24-36 hours.

Step 3: Return for touch-ups
